about
"Tomás Latorre is an Argentine bassist and composer currently living in Boston. In 2011 he was awarded a scholarship to study at Berklee College of music in Boston, graduating in 2014 with all the honors in Contemporary Writing and Production. In 2014, he performed and arranged “Maria Lando” and “Volver” for Susana Baca’s concert at the Berklee Performance Center"
"Music is one of the windows into the soul, recognizing the individuality in each being and our collective connection. Music is the color palette to our infinite emotional scope, and we are vessels that paint blindfolded. I try to bring an experience to myself first and then include others to be part of a musical journey as listeners. It can be very challenging, but the key is being as honest as possible, then it becomes simple. In the case of my song in this album, I miss home, let show you how much I miss it!"
lyrics
Ay tierrita mía, me llamas sin cantar
sabes bien que sólo sé tu canto escuchar,
Ay mañana mía, me pides un favor
yo no entiendo bien y me levanto en sudor
me levanto y quisiera decirte,
Ay vidita mía, hoy me voy a animar
para encontrarte yo ya sé dónde buscar
Se irá y seguirá,
se iá y seguirá…
